While I spent a lot of time in WoW, I became fairly well known on my server for being a strong player. During ganks or arena battles against strangers, my hands would shake intensely. I thought letting anyone win a one-on-one match would lead to lots of bragging in chat or on forums. Surprisingly, it never happened when facing players from other servers—I guess I was mainly concerned about protecting my reputation. Now that I haven’t played much, it feels like such a strange situation.

Experience DayZ first, then see how Minecraft PVP affects your nerves.

I feel uneasy during tense moments in Counter-Strike, but that's just part of it.

The only moments I felt uneasy during a game were when I reached deep into a section of Dark Souls 2. I haven’t located a bonfire yet, and I’m still trying to tackle the Metro series on ranger difficulty, particularly the library from 2033.

I understand the Minecraft PvP vibe. I used to play with friends, heavily enchanting diamond armor for a tough edge. We avoided losing our base to random players and stayed safe in DayZ or maybe Arma 3’s Wasteland. It’s all about keeping your stuff safe when things get competitive.
