I've been using Windows 10 as an insider for a while now. It's installed on my desktop alongside Ubuntu Linux, and I'm set up for dual booting. After the preview ends, I should still have Windows 10 available unless you decide to purchase a license.

You keep going, but it'll be early testing (beta phase). That means you're still trying things out.

No it won't. People have reported that they have the latest build permanently activated. You can keep using it if you stay on the preview branch. That means stuff might be broken, you will have to test the updates before they get pushed to the Current Branch, and you have a slight chance of losing data. Also, MS will track your usage.

It will eventually stop functioning completely. This typically happens around six months after the product is released.

The person claiming it won’t work is mistaken. The current build isn’t suitable, but you’ll always be using the preview version where new patches are tested.

Some claim it will run out, but that's not true. MS is letting insiders who stay in the preview keep their activation as long as they receive new builds.
