Idle temperatures can vary, but my 5900X often stays around 36°C to 55°C when using quieter fan speeds. Around 90°C feels a bit hot—this is usually when most Zen 3 models begin throttling. If you're looking at performance data, 5800X, 5900X, and 5950X tend to slow down at 90°C, while the 5600X drops at 95°C. You might be dealing with airflow issues or need to boost your CPU cooler fan; adjusting fan curves could help. The case and fans play a big role in keeping things cool. What setup do you have?

You're sitting at a comfortable temperature range, but you're definitely testing your limits. The 90C is your top speed, though you're definitely going hard. My 5900X usually hits 70-72°C, sometimes reaching 75-85°C under heavy load. I'm using a Scythe Mugen 5 Black Edition with six 120mm Corsairs in a Fractal Pop XL Air. What cooling system do you have? This indicates poor airflow—upgrade to a better case featuring front mesh and three 1200mm fans (one at the back). Alternatively, a matx case with two front fans and one back fan works too, as long as it includes mesh.
I switched my case and maintained the same temperature but noticed a higher frequency of 4591. I turned on PBO and ran stability tests in Cinebench. After about half an hour, the temperature stabilized at around 90 with a normal frequency. My score came in at 15432 points. That looks good—everything is stable now.
Your 5800x display on a H150i (360mm AIO) performs well, reaching 78c during a 10-minute Cine R23 run when fans are at full speed.
