Hello! I'm just starting out in the forums and have a problem I can't solve. My system has limited memory, which is making today's games tough. The game I'm playing is demanding, and my CPU and GPU aren't great, but it still runs. My memory keeps getting low. I reached out to the game's support team, and they suggested using a command prompt in admin mode with a specific setting. They warned it might harm the system. I'm worried about safety. Is this advice safe? Thanks for your help!
It shouldn't be a major problem, but keep in mind that 32-bit S models only use about 3.25GB of RAM out of the 4GB available. Upgrading to 64-bit could fix your memory issues. If you're planning to upgrade your PC, can I get the CPU from you? Also, I'm running an LGA775 system—check my profile for details.
I know right now that Q6600 can't run PS2 even when settings are low. It simply lacks sufficient power. The RAM also doesn't help much; I believe the CPU is the bigger problem. I used the same CPU and lower MHz RAM, yet the game was almost impossible to play. Plus, people say it isn't well optimized for CPU performance.
