This tool is frequently utilized by evaluators to assess DPC latency. https://www.resplendence.com/latencymon If you're open to testing it on the mentioned board and sharing a screenshot, that would be helpful. Right now there are no other reviews for different boards besides this one. https://www.techporn.ph/review-msi-mag-z...i-fi-ddr4/
I’ve heard someone with that board, I’ll message them and check his availability. To be honest, it seems MSI has just copied the memory topology and BIOS support for all their DDR4 boards from this generation. For memory-related details, everything should remain consistent across all their DDR4 models, ensuring the review aligns exactly with the Z690-A Pro version.
Do you have knowledge about the memory layout on this board? Or would you prefer it to be dual-rank like what you're considering buying?
I'm working with this motherboard: MSI MPG Z690 EDGE WIFI DDR4. The RAM installed is CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 32GB DDR4 3600 16-19-19-36. I ran it for a minute and then stopped it.
I'll inform you when he finishes, but I'm certain this board has strong memory support. Right now it's using a 12700k MSI Z690-A Pro and a Neo Forza Faye 4400MHz CL19 with 2x16GB RAM, and that setup came out of the box with XMP enabled. Dual Rank SK Hynix DJR memory is included. It would be a surprise if the chosen kit wouldn't function on this board.
For a budget board, these numbers are much better than expected. The 849 spike is slightly high, but the average is surprisingly low. It seems he was using the PC normally rather than just afk. If that's the case, it looks perfect for my needs. My own board (h570 ASUS TUF + 11700k) gets huge spikes when I take a screenshot, for instance.
