They transformed the franchise so that stealth and precision became central, while violence shifted to a more dominant role. Combat isn't necessarily bad, but the focus on assassination faded over time.

Odysse is an outstanding game, one of Ubisoft's finest creations.

Assassins Creed 2 is probably the best. Brother Hood and Revelations are decent. The rest I mostly skipped or didn’t play. Black Flag looked good. Rogue feels underrated.

I ended up grabbing Origins impulsively. Thought it wouldn’t be cheap again soon and the visuals and atmosphere were too tempting. I thought about getting the first "act" of Black Flag, but that didn’t really appeal to me. If Origins is strong enough, maybe I’ll revisit the story if they ever drop it at a discount.

I played 2 and enjoyed it a lot even with the outdated graphics. The black flag felt weak and unnecessary, while origins had its merits. The dlc seemed like a tedious method to collect more money from players. I decided to cancel by subscribing for just one month to play on Ubisoft.

AC II and AC Brotherhood offer compelling narratives. If they become available during a Black Friday sale, I strongly suggest checking them out. Ubisoft frequently distributes these titles at discounts. I’ve received II, III, Black Flag, and AC Unity for free through various promotions (along with many other Ubisoft releases). The Santiago Santiago YouTube channel often highlights performance tips for new titles on different systems—subscribing could be worthwhile. I’ve heard Origins stands out compared to earlier entries, though I haven’t played it yet. If you enjoyed the original AC, these two are significantly improved and still feel connected within the same universe, sharing many gameplay elements. The first AC was quite repetitive, but it showed potential that flourished in later entries.

If you thought AC was a good game, you should definitely give the others a shot. 2 and brotherhood are my top picks—they make the challenge much easier. My only issue is with the story and music.
