I've been slowly keeping up with Star Citizen's updates and have a vague understanding of what the game is now. I'm wondering if joining the alpha makes sense right now or waiting until it evolves more. I'd like a quick rundown on whether it's worth it at this stage, possibly including any recent changes or upcoming features that could impact the experience.

They haven’t delivered what they promised yet. Right now it seems like a massive financial windfall. Still, I’m optimistic and know a big effort like this needs time.

Their plan includes a roadmap for 3.0 that adds room for planetary landings, scheduled within two months.

It's not what I expected, but my roommate enjoys it. "Good" depends on personal taste, so results may differ.
