It may not support ULTRA configurations with MSAA and additional features. The Phenom II X4 965 at 965 MHz and 7950Hz at 720p could be limited in performance for such settings.

This Phenom feels extremely underpowered; GTA relies heavily on processing power.

My setup uses the same GPU but performs well at high settings (60-100 FPS). However, the CPU would cause performance issues.

It's not true. The game works just as expected.

I believe 720p works well with this configuration; the Phenom model is outdated, yet it has a quad-core processor.

Some claim the Phenom is too weak, but that's not true. I used the X6 version and ran tests on GTA 5 here: At 1080p high settings it stays above 50 FPS. At 720p it performs well, though I wouldn't expect top performance with MSAA on a 7950.

Sure, I understand. I’m planning to use 720p high settings for smooth performance. I already have a setup with a Phenom and no graphics card, so I’m wondering if a 7950 GPU would be sufficient. Would that be too much for this resolution?
