I possess these connections; the Ethernet is meant for backhaul, so a cable failure wouldn't cause downtime or complications, along with additional secondary routes. You can connect devices to these ports too. I move from my router into one and then into a switch. There are also some items already connected in other areas.

Yes. One is modem WAN input, and one will be LAN… I assume. Also just or note, I have had great luck with Nest Wifi (formerly google Wifi). Have it deployed at multiple family members houses and it works great.
