Because of COVID and component shortages I’m likely to use an Asus Prime B450M-A with a Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB DDR4-3000MHz. The issue is that the RAM isn’t recognized by the QVL and the motherboard only supports 3000OC while the RAM runs at 3000 without overclocking. I’m not sure if I’ll face any problems, but I still want to know—will there be system issues? Should I lock the memory to 2666 in the BIOS? It will pair with a Ryzen 7 2700X. Thanks in advance.
2700x paired with b450- A creates an extremely unpleasant setup. The 2700x draws significantly more power than the board supports. Consider upgrading to a better board.

Using B450-A you'll notice substantial thermal throttling and shutdowns in CPU-intensive games or tasks due to overheating VRMs. The Aorus Pro Wi-Fi is only marginally better, not ideal for 2700X either. However, with the Pro Wi-Fi it should reduce shutdown frequency. What cooling solution do you have? Additional fans? If you add a Downcraft Aircooler and ensure good case airflow, you might run 2700X at stock speed with Aorus Pro Wi-Fi, though expect some thermal throttling. Edit: With a decent Downcraft cooler and proper case airflow, 2700X should be possible with B450-A, but be prepared for heat limits.
