The one offering higher bandwidth is the Quad Channel configuration available on X79, which surpasses 3000MHz DDR4 performance.

Hey there, friends. I’m reaching out to you, #agent_x007. If you’re writing from France, sorry about the English hiccups—I got a P9x79 deluxe. I built my PC in 2013, so I stumbled upon this site and your message, wow! Would you mind helping me upgrade my hardware? I’d like to swap my 7th generation i7-3820 for one of yours, preferably a 4960. I’d also like to upgrade my RAM from G-Skill 12800 CL7 to the maximum available DDR3. If I can still find one, I’d replace it with 4x8GB modules instead of the current setup. My power supply is a 750W gold unit, so it’s fine for the changes. I have an Samsung 850 EVO SSD and could probably swap it for a M.2 Samsung 970 EVO plus a 512GB drive, which I think would cost around $120 on Amazon. If I save up enough, maybe I could try an AMD 5500 XT 8GB graphics card. All these upgrades could turn my 2013 PC into a solid 2020 machine. What do you think, Johnny JP669? I’m also sharing my current specs in a snapshot. Edited August 1, 2020 by JP669 – better snapshot attached.
