The I5 5257U should handle a Minecraft server with around 10 players smoothly, especially with its solid specs. The 8GB RAM is decent for a single-channel setup, though it might feel tight under heavy load. The 256GB SSD storage is sufficient for your needs. Just keep in mind the limitations of a non-upgradable system and ensure the server environment supports your expectations. Good luck!

A friend set up a Minecraft server for five players on a 3317U with 8GB RAM, which worked well. The 5257U offers more power and should support around ten players with some lag. Eight gigabytes of RAM means only a few mods needed, vanilla should suffice. Also consider your internet speed—30Mbps or higher is best.

It should work fine for hosting a server. You might see some delays if everyone is online together doing random actions. It probably won’t handle all ten players loading chunks simultaneously, but it should be manageable if everyone stays in the same general area. The experience won’t be perfect, but it’s likely to function. It depends on how you plan to use the server. RAM usage shouldn’t become a problem since a basic server with about ten players would use roughly 2-3GB. Adding a bit more like 6GB wouldn’t cause any issues. I tested a 2200G with five to six players and it ran smoothly, though there was a short lag or freeze of about a second during loading into the Nether or Overworld.

It should manage it well... if you're able to turn off power throttling you'll have better confidence in performance. You can disable it with the throttle stop feature.

It should function flawlessly then... perhaps some minor delays occasionally, but it will significantly outperform typical free server hosting options.
