Yes, it should work.
Yes, it should work.
I need to assemble a compact desktop system. My main concern is whether the Asus Prime H310M-E R2.0 board will work. This build is mainly for Call of Duty and a few other titles, not for heavy gaming. I’m okay with slightly lower performance since it’s just for my brother. The hardware includes an Intel Core i5-6500, a GTX 1650 16GB, a Hyper X 2666 MHz graphics card, a 1TB SSD, and a 500W PSU from Thermaltake.
The 6500 is a 6th generation board, while the one you have is intended for 8th generation models.
The board supports 8th generation and newer CPUs; it won't work with a 6th generation processor. You'll need a chipset like H110, B150, H170, Z170, Q270, B250, H270, or Z270. I might have missed a couple, but those should cover most compatible options. Edit: W270 corrected to Q270.
