The processor is lagging. The PS2 isn't well suited for CPU tasks. A quad-core setup would be necessary for smooth performance.

It's not just about every core. I've heard stories of people switching from hex to quad cores and seeing big FPS boosts, but because of the much higher clock speeds. The PS2 seems to need all the power it can muster.

It might be a dual-core processor with hyperthreading, making it a laptop.

PS2 functions as a CPU processor. There are adjustments available for low-end CPUs. You might want to give it a shot.

Good luck! It's easy to download and play, just let us know if you'd like to try it. Your i5 works well, but the R9 390 may struggle with consistent performance—mostly lagging, possibly due to WiFi issues. Ethernet might be a better option for smoother gameplay.
