I don't recall the exact process but I built my PC a couple of years ago. I installed Disc 0 with a 2TB SSD for games and Disc 1 with a 2TB SSD for the OS, files, and apps. During setup I selected certain partitions and they were placed accordingly. When I chose Disc 1 in Windows 11, it installed the partitions as shown. If you're curious about the steps or want to transfer data, let me know.
It's a minor issue with the Windows installer, it occurs occasionally. I experienced it twice on Windows 10 and several times with friends; it seems Microsoft hasn't resolved it for Windows 11. You can prevent it by partitioning the drive before installation, though doing so is usually simpler than having only the desired drive available. The best solution is to rebuild those partitions. Many online guides explain how to create an EFI partition if it gets lost or this problem arises.
I've noticed some third-party tools that claim to offer this, but I'm not sure.
Aomei Partition Manager > Reduce disk 1 by roughly 1GB. Duplicate EFI and Recovery partitions to available space on disk 1 (choose bit-for-bit mode and select the option while copying). Remove EFI and Recovery partitions from disk 0 and apply changes. Reboot and it will complete the process.
Updated. The process didn't succeed or succeeded unexpectedly. After completing the steps, I encountered BSOD errors related to page faults in nonpaged areas. Thinking I had no choice, I performed a fresh Windows 11 installation. The setup completed without issues, but now I'm experiencing another BSOD crash. I'll create a separate thread since this isn't connected to the current issue.
