I've been curious why my CPU and GPU never hit 100% during games, even though my framerate stays below 60FPS. I noticed some YouTube clips showing near-maximum usage, which seems achievable. It's mentioned that a motherboard might be limiting performance if the components can't reach full capacity. But when I run benchmarks, my system actually reaches 100% usage, so that shouldn’t be the issue. Could there be a software limitation or are the games not utilizing all CPU cores? I’ve been trying to figure this out for a while and haven’t found clear answers or helpful tips.

I’ll concentrate on My Summer Car for now. Temperatures stay under 70°C. I’m using 1920x1080 resolution, and performance drops below 40 FPS. In GTA5, GPU temps hit the maximum at 83°C, while the game runs around 50 FPS on the same setting.

Execute the resource monitor and start the game briefly. It will pinpoint where the limitation lies. For example, if disk usage reaches full capacity, your storage could be lagging. Avoid reaching 100% utilization since that would cause the system to stall and potentially freeze if you try to stop the process.

It seems to remove certain drivers and alter system behavior. It might also cause issues if not handled properly.
