The 8GB RAM issue started yesterday and now causes problems when running demanding software like Blender or Substance Painter. The computer restarts frequently, leaving me without any warranty. What should I do? Should I try to repair the memory, or if that's not possible, should I discard it? Remember, the RAM still functions in games and other tasks but struggles with heavy tasks.

When using dual channel with two sticks, you can isolate each one and compare them to identify the faulty one. It’s likely they’re both working, so you might want to purchase a replacement.

It's not possible to resolve the issue by reducing speeds and boosting voltage.

yeah i've tested it, my older one is faulty, if i connect it and use blender pc restarts, but with the new one which i bought 1year ago this one doesn't cause any restart, but my question is there's no way to fix it? or even from a shop ? or it's better to buy a new one?

I believe I’ll receive a different version. What should I do with this one?

If it's under warranty, what's the return process?

The issue seems to persist even after restarting. Both RAMs are still working, so it might not be a RAM problem. It could relate to the GPU's VRAM or another component.

Are you certain? Most RAM models come with 5, 10-year warranties and some even offer lifetime coverage. I checked the board for any damaged capacitors and made sure everything was cleaned properly.

From that point I'm unsure. My computer keeps restarting even with both RAMs installed. I checked them separately, but it's not clear if one is bad or if another issue exists. It might also be related to the GPU's VRAM.

Uncertain about the blown capacitor in the PSU. However, they provided a three-year warranty. I've cleaned the RAM and GPU, and I haven't detected any burning odor.
