I'm currently running a Ram configuration of 4x4GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 at 3000mHz and I was wondering if I can replace 2/4 modules with a pair of higher speed 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4 @ 3200mHz. My main concern is even will I be able to run the 2 pairs of Ram in dual channel in 2 different speed (3000 with 3000, 3200 with 3200) since AMD doesn't support quad channel anyway. The main reason is probably because I found someone selling the 3200mhz kit for cheap on the marketplace so honestly this is a good opportunity to future-proof my machine a little bit for the years to come. All the memory in the system must operate together at identical speeds and settings, which means your motherboard can't adjust them separately. You might be able to push your existing RAM up to 3200MHz, but if you install new modules, you'll need to lower their clock speed slightly. Make sure each 8GB module is on a different channel to avoid flex-mode behavior. Do you really want the additional memory?
