You can keep your programs and files on the existing HDD while installing Windows on the new 64GB SSD. You won’t need to move everything to the SSD right away; you can install Windows first and then transfer your data later. The SSD will act as a boot drive, so you’ll be able to start using it once Windows is set up.

You can choose which drive to boot from by selecting the desired one during startup. Both SSD and HDD can run Windows, but you’ll need to set the boot order so the correct one starts up first. You can also modify the boot configuration if needed.

I'm not sure if it's feasible, but I doubt 64 GB will suffice for Windows. It could just be a little short.

What does that mean? A 64GB drive is sufficient just for Windows...

Set up Windows on the SSD, start from there, remove the Windows data from the HDD, and you’re finished.

1. 64GB is more than enough for just Windows. Windows 7 requires around 30GB.
2. You can relocate the games and files you wish to keep into separate folders. After that, remove the Windows folders. This way you’ll avoid odd file paths. If you need to format the HDD (recommended), you can temporarily move the files to another device. There’s no method to uninstall Windows and leave the files/folders unchanged with most uninstallers.
