For a content creator, it's similar to a 24-core Threadripper in terms of performance and capability.

The cost of the X399 board would destroy any savings, so consider upgrading to B550/X570 or a 3800X. The XT option isn't worthwhile.

It varies; if you own the board, the ideal resolution depends on the project size. Generally, 3700x works well for most videos. For gaming, a better CPU is needed, but it's more affordable and efficient, while still capable of handling the task.

My goal is to help you with your PC needs. I don’t have a fixed budget, but I can suggest options based on your requirements. Let me know what you’re looking for!

These standards aren't very good; it's better to use tools like Puget benchmarks for the software you're working with.

It's a good question, but not sure if it's worth the cost. I'm not planning to build or upgrade, so I'm just curious about the investment. The 2920x seems more affordable at first glance.

Don't suggest it, it's an older generation and won't offer all the speed boosts of newer chips at the same cost. You can opt for a Ryzen 9 3900X instead, keep in mind it uses socket AM4. Regarding prices, hold off until the ZEN 4 release, then it might be cheaper. Edited July 21, 2020 by Cat101

It varies based on your use case. The 2920x still performs well with the 3800xt in multithreaded scenarios, though the platform might keep costs similar since enthusiast boards are significantly pricier than mainstream options. Other advantages include additional PCIe lanes, higher RAM bandwidth, and improved IPC. Newer components often handle single-threaded tasks faster, such as games or certain software, making it all about your specific requirements.
