I have an i5 3470 and a GT 1030 graphics card. I also have 8 gigabytes of DDR3 RAM running at 1333 MHz. My goal is to overclock the RAM to 1600 MHz. Is that possible with my processor?

Your i5 3470 card is ready for DDR3 RAM set to speeds like 1333 or 1600 MHz. If you only have one stick of memory, it will run in single channel mode. This also depends on the motherboard (MB) you buy, but most MBs support 1600 MHz speed so please check the model number if you are unsure.

Your i5 3470 card can handle DDR3 speeds of 1333 or 1600 megahertz. If you only have one piece of memory, it will work in single channel mode. This depends on the motherboard you're using though; most boards support up to 1600MHz so please check your MB if you are still unsure.
