I was curious about whether GTA V remains valuable on PC today, especially for playing GTA Online. I used to enjoy it on my PS3 and wanted to move my online progress to PC, but some Steam reviews make me question if it’s worth it given the prevalence of hacks and cheats. How widespread are these issues? Are they serious enough to affect gameplay?
It can sometimes be problematic, but Rockstar appears to be intensifying its efforts with each new release. If you're comfortable playing on your PC, it's worth trying instead of a console version. I dislike the presence of hackers and modders, but I won't return to the console format once I've enjoyed the PC experience.
It was my first time playing in about three months, and I ended up with a hacker or modder. He was nice, even though he wasn't.
Fortunate. I barely manage to join a session without one. A few are pleasant, but the majority are troublesome.
I’m having fun playing GTA 5 with my friend, and here’s what I’ve noticed; there are many hackers every now and then—usually two or three each session, depending on luck. They sometimes spam and try to disrupt things, though they don’t cheat all the time. I’d estimate around a third of them do that. Overall, it feels worth it if you can handle it.
