I haven't found any websites in Google Chrome within Timeline. You mentioned using Edge, and you're aware that Timeline includes other apps besides Microsoft products, such as those from VMware on virtual machines.

The API exist. The choice of using them lies with the software developer. Firefox also doesn't currently support the Timeline feature, if you have any questions. It will be a while before the OS is updated.
