The irregular frequency drops you're seeing seem to be linked to the hwinfo 3DMark data, which shows clocks that are significantly lower than expected for the main cores. I noticed that most items were hard to find unless you bought from China, after which it seemed effortless but full of fake goods. Honeywell didn’t respond and didn’t mention where I could purchase it. Eventually I had to switch to a thermal grizzly, which performed significantly worse. Homeywell might be the better option. It’s confusing how the real products ended up missing—those dips seem unrelated to TIM and more like hold states. I’m considering exploring background tasks or networking instead. For the PTM7950 I purchased a 80x80 square board (sufficient for four am4 applications) off the market. It was significantly more costly than other TIM options, and it arrived from China with several weeks of shipping time. However, it came with an official Honeywell sticker on repurposed screen glass packaging.

Interesting point. Moddiy is in Hong Kong, so I should include them with the Chinese content. It seems like I need to purchase some from them then. For now, use my thermal grizzly for the short term and hold off on shipping until the full mod arrives—maybe around March. They seem pretty consistent too. I think the delay might be due to a timeout at the end.

It’s helpful to keep a little extra. I allocated part of one CPU application’s resources for testing the app’s quality, then paired it with another half. I also kept some aside for repairs, upgrades, or helping friends later on.

I might have avoided the $50 option and gone with the $7 one instead. What I received was your 80x80mm purchase, which is what I’m getting now. On the other hand, the thermal grizzly concerns me a lot. The visuals in ads seem exaggerated. The item I got previously looked like regular stuff and dark grey. This time the tube contained a lot of liquid with a light grey color—feels like a basic generic paste. I’m not sure if I’m actually getting the product I ordered, even though it came in a thermal grizzly box. Edited December 29, 2022 by Bombastinator
