Hey everyone, seems like the Ethernet connection on your PC has stopped working. After launching a game, the computer froze and then restarted, but when it came back online, there was no Ethernet detected—only Wi-Fi worked. I changed the port on the router and used a different cable, but nothing changed. The port isn’t lighting up or showing up in the PC’s detection. I even reinstalled the drivers and restarted both the PC and router, yet it still doesn’t work. Has this happened suddenly? Is there a way to verify the issue? I understand you could buy a new USB cable for a low cost, but it’s not the best solution.

Verify if Ethernet NIC appears in your adapter settings. Also, open Device Manager and look under Network Adapters.

Occasionally this occurs, particularly with budget motherboards. Adding a PCIe expansion card might be a better option if it performs better than USB.

I think it is there. Just says no connected. I don't have any more PCI slots I am using three already

Select the adapter icon, then choose Diagnose. The system will display what it has detected.

Clean the port connections while the computer is powered down. Use a cotton swab soaked in alcohol. Allow it to dry before reattaching. The same method applies to the router or switch.
