I'm assembling my initial PC and have chosen the Corsair 4000D Airflow with the ASUS TUF Gaming B550 Plus. The challenge is that the 4000D includes a USB-C front panel, but my motherboard lacks a corresponding header. I found a compact circuit board containing all the front panel connectors. Does it require USB-C to function, or can it operate without it? Since I don't have any USB-C devices, I just want to confirm if the other connectors will still work properly without the USB-C header. For more details, you can check the parts list here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yxBQgb

For the USB C connection to function, the header must be connected. As long as the remaining ports are attached, everything should work, just the USB-C port won't.

If the motherboard lacks the necessary port, simply remove it from power.

I understand the USB-C port wouldn't function, as mentioned. I just wanted to confirm it isn't required for connecting to the motherboard's other front panel connectors.

They function correctly when linked together. The USB-C header offers only the USB-C connection.
