Hello guys I got a brand new HP laptop (14-ba151tx - https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c05869373 ) as gift however disk usage is always at 100%. Because of which the laptop is extremely slow. We currently have sale going on here at Amazon India. So I opened the laptop and wanted to upgrade with SSD as it has NVME slot which is empty. And wanted to install ram. Kindly let me know if this SSD is good enough : https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B07YFF3...UTF8&psc=1 Also the ram which is currently is installed is Samsung : https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/dr...44CB0-CRC/ Now my question is should I get the same brand ram which costs around 3500 INR : https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B0751L2...E9NW&psc=1 ? Or should I go with crucial ? It is 850 INR cheaper and has more speed however I am not sure whether it would be compatible or not : https://www.amazon.in/Crucial-DDR4-Lapto...HJ1ZQ&th=1 Please tell me which RAM and SSD I should opt for. Thanks!

I'm from Delhi and placed the same drive today. I also added a topic here for you to review. Your RAM might not work well with your processor. You didn't specify if you want to keep the Samsung unit or use two 4GB sticks.

I want to retain Samsung. I placed the order for the drive earlier yesterday using an HDFC card for a discount. But I later canceled it since I found the same deal on Flipkart—this time I chose a 16 GB stick, though I now think that’s too much for an old laptop. I plan to stick with 4 GB and add another 8 GB later.

I saw it’s not compatible, but reviews say it functions well on laptops. Many people find it works fine. It seems like a better option because it’s cheaper.

I think even 12gb is too much for that i3. Why not check the used market for 4gb sticks? There would be plenty, and you'd be contributing to a greener planet, lol. I don’t believe there are good offers on 4gb sticks right now. My friend got a 16gb ddr3 stick for his 4th gen i5 for 2100rs in March. Impressive! Olx ftw

If return window is there just try it, no harm in trying out.

I completely support recycling, but I’m hesitant about using OLX for this purchase. The return period is too short.

I purchased the identical SSD together with the link you provided. Since I didn’t want any issues, thank you for your assistance.

Hey there, just checked the model you found on YouTube: https://youtu.be/4QGPV2EDh9k. I didn’t open the box—it came in two days ago, but I managed to send it back even though Amazon said it wasn’t returnable. We went with Samsung after talking through the details.
