Hey! I’m curious if anyone has managed to set up automatic phone-to-computer tethering via USB. I want to switch my internet from the router or mobile data straight to my phone and then to my computer as soon as I connect it. Since this happens often, manually enabling USB tethering in settings feels tedious. I’ve looked into it, but it seems tough with current Android security settings. Unless I go rooting or use a third-party app, which isn’t ideal for me. Could there be another method to automate this without rooting? Any ideas would be super helpful! Thanks a lot!

Wifi sharing seems sufficient these days, so the need for usb tethering appears less important.

Perhaps. But I don’t have an adapter for my computer at the moment, so it’s the only option for my PC to connect to the internet wirelessly. If it weren’t that, I’d just connect directly from the router to my computer. It would still be helpful to know how to do it, just in case something changes in the future.
