I have a 256 GB SSD and a 1 TB HDD. I reviewed the details as well from AMD. Still, I’m unsure. It seems like I store what I use most on the SSD. Do you think this is similar to installing them directly on the SSD? For instance, if I run something like Red Dead Redemption 2 (about 200 GB), will my SSD handle it without breaking?
StoreMi restricts SSD storage to 128GB; for more space you need the 'Pro' edition.
The system supports up to 256GB in fast tier for StoreMI. You can still utilize a larger SSD, but it adds another virtual drive (unless you opt for FuzeDrive). In short: your SSD and HDD are merged into one virtual unit. During installation of games like RDR2, it usually goes to the HDD since that's where most of the storage resides. When playing, the game loads from the HDD while simultaneously transferring recently accessed data to the SSD. The next time you play, you'll experience faster SSD loading.
