I explored an alternative approach using a 32GB flash drive as a secondary system. I wondered if the boot device on the flash drive could access the SSD inside the laptop and if there are other ways to achieve dual booting without modifying the main storage or purchasing additional space. Thank you for your support!

Using a flash drive on Windows will cause performance issues, yet it is possible to manage it. I've handled this multiple times to fix a failing main drive.

It can also read another Windows installation disk automatically. The best method to avoid this is to turn on BitLocker or use additional encryption.

You can operate Windows from a USB stick, though the experience won’t be smooth. Expect significant delays and a high risk of damaging the drive. Still, it should be able to access the internal storage.

You have full access to any drive on the system. For data in your user profile, permissions must be handled separately. You can skip formatting if you wish to partition the main drive or create an additional one.

You can split the main partition by using the appropriate tools or commands in your system. If you need a complete solution, let me know and I’ll guide you through it.

In the disk manager, you can find a "reduce volume" feature by right-clicking on a partition. An alternative tool is available at the provided link for free partition management.
