I'm planning a high-end science fiction scenario and need to address heat management, especially around the CPU. I'm worried about thermal performance, particularly with modern 6-core processors. While I'm open to current options, I want to ensure they handle the load well without overheating. I was thinking an i5-11400 might work, but I've heard recent Intel releases can be tricky in this regard. Switching to an APU could give me more flexibility and cooling options.

Which kind of review are you considering? According to the guidelines, the 11400 offers limited performance, see the link for details.

I'm working with an older PS2 from my childhood. The advice was useful because I can't find any Ryzen graphics chips in stock, so I’m mainly considering i3-10100, i5-10400, and 11400 options. Since they seem to have similar power levels, I might go with the 11400.
