When you receive a Windows license with your machine, transferring it isn't possible. To reinstall Windows 8, press Win+I, select Change PC Settings, then navigate to Update and recovery > Recovery, and choose Remove everything and reinstall. This process will reset and prepare the system for activation. It can be sold or handed over to someone if needed. For a simple reinstall without affecting files, click Refresh your PC at the same location. If you wish to maintain Windows 8 with a retail license, format the device and install it on another machine, then activate it. If issues arise, you'll receive a toll-free activation code via a screen prompt.
