They're reassessing their TV service options and considering switching to the bundled internet provider. Previously, a Wi-Fi router helped with streaming, but now the cable box isn't compatible due to bandwidth issues. Investing in a better router might improve performance, but compatibility with the existing setup remains a key factor.

I use TP-LINK routers because they're my top choice. I'm not sure if it works with the cable TV box.

Any router works with any cable (modem or router setup). Why limit yourself? You can link your router to the cable as a Wi-Fi extender, amplifying the internet signal. If you're concerned about weak signals, use a LAN cable to connect devices together.

The router was linked to the TV box using a cable, which is the sole method of connection. When the router sits between the TV box and the fiber signal converter, it fails to operate, displaying a connection speed error.
