The title clearly outlines the situation. With two routers, router 1 and router 2, if you connect your internet to router 1 in router mode and then link router 2 to router 1 via Ethernet in access point mode, devices on router 2 (in AP mode) should be able to communicate with router 1. Router 1 can also manage devices on router 2. Let me know if you need further clarification!

When the second router operates in AP mode, clients will share the same network as the primary router and can interact with all other devices on the system.

Yes I will have a router and a AP connected to the router but the reason I need to know about this is because I’m waiting to hear from my isp because I’m losing packets. And looking at my current mesh network the device is hot and has a ton of cpu usage and memory usage. So I want to put the mesh in AP mode and have it plugged into a router if it’s the mesh is just having issues handling everything. So the router can just handle the advanced tasks and send them to the AP to the other devices to not have the mesh so hot and working so hard. But yeah thank you so much! Okay thank you!
