XMP unstable
Hi everyone, I built my PC and am struggling to reach more than 2666MHz for RAM. My setup includes an i5 12400f, a Crucial P3 SSD, a Corsair Vengeance LPX, and a Be Quiet Power 650 Gold with XMP settings. Manually adjusting timings or clockspeed doesn’t help; the BIOS is updated. Games like F1 22 or Assetto Corsa crash at higher speeds—around 5-10 minutes at 3600MHz, 10-20 minutes at 3000MHz. Only the default seems stable. Anyone have any suggestions?
The sticks are completely the same, all four are CMK16GX4M2Z3600C18 and marked as supported by Gigabyte. There are two sets of two. I matched them to their matching sockets. I don’t notice any variation between them. Using just one set doesn’t change the outcome.
The Corsair Vengeance LPX kit CMK16GX4M2Z3600C18 appears on the QVL List. Gigabyte has verified only a 2× DIMM configuration (2 x 8GB) works, not 4×. For testing, try using two sticks in Dual Channel mode and check if XMP stability is maintained. Please let me know your findings.
