XMP PROBLEM
XMP PROBLEM
Hi, here is my setup
i9 13900k, Aorus Master Elite Ax 1.0, Corsair CMK32GX5M2B6400C36, 4080 AUROS MASTER, 1000W POWER
I’m experiencing an issue with XMP. I updated the BIOS and all drivers are working.
My RAM is 4800 MHz, and my memory modules are connected to A2 and B2.
When I enter the BIOS and set XMP to 1, trying to reach 6400 MHz (maximum) causes the computer to reset and crash.
I also attempted to go up to 5600 or 5400 manually, but that didn’t work either.
I completed all tests, including MEMSTEST86. Everything seems fine with hardware and connections.
Can you help me understand why the system crashes?
Did you reset the CMOS after updating the bios? If not, consider doing so.
I wasn't able to locate your RAM in the mobo QVL, which hasn't prevented you from purchasing it. You might just be unlucky. Have you considered 5,000 or 5,200MHz? You could also try adjusting the XMP setting and then manually relax the Primary timings before rebooting. Memory tuning can be tricky, but there are many guides available.
Apply XMP then adjust the memory speed manually to 6000 if unsuccessful, otherwise repeat the process but set it to 5600.
Could you attempt to increase the CPU's clock speed in relation to I/O controller settings? It's possible your CPU struggles with the RAM speed under these conditions.
