XMP issue leading to BSOD with four drives after BIOS update (MSI PRO Z-690-A)
Hello, I've made the BIOS update and can't get my RAM to reach its full speed anymore. By default, the BIOS limits my RAM to 800 MHz even when all four DIMMs are active. Before this change, XMP worked smoothly with stable performance during long gaming sessions. After updating, XMP isn't functioning as expected. I've tried adjusting voltages, rolling back the BIOS, cleaning the CMOS, and even reinstalling chipset drivers, but nothing resolves the issue. I've also replaced my RAM and verified everything is connected properly with the power supply. The problem seems to be that the BIOS now caps everything at 4000 MHz when all four sticks are used. Enabling XMP triggers frequent crashes. I'm hoping someone can help me get back to the previous setup—XMP enabled, 6000 MHz, all four sticks, no BSODs. This is really frustrating. I know Intel claims support for 4800 MHz DDR5, but I've only managed 4800 with XMP and haven't overclocked. I've already shared this on overclock.net and emailed MSI and G.Skill, but it's still not working as before.
