XMP Help
You have an Asus Prime B660-K D4 I5 12400 DDR4 RAM with 2333MHz clock speed and 16GB capacity. Your main concerns are:
1. In the BIOS, you can choose between XMP1 and XMP2 settings. Which one is better and what does each do?
2. Regardless of the XMP level you select, the system reports a frequency of 3606MHz, which is 0.6MHz above the advertised 3600MHz. This seems inconsistent with expectations.
Let me know if you need further clarification!
3606Mhz works well. Comparing XMP1 and XMP2 shows they produce identical timings, frequencies, and clocks. The main difference is default settings—XMP1 uses Asus defaults while XMP2 uses Intel defaults. It's unclear which will be more stable over time. From what I found online, XMP2 appears to be a more aggressive profile compared to XMP1, but both give the same outcomes in every category when checked through my BIOS.
