XMP fix
XMP fix
I encountered an issue trying to reset my RAM after several failed attempts with the calculator for Ryzen. It didn’t crash, but when loading into Windows 10 I hit a stuck loop during auto repair boot, clearing the CMOS and restarting, only to face the same problem again. After much trial and error—switching between XMP profiles, flashing new BIOS, resetting all connectors—I discovered something odd: one dim slot worked with both RAM sticks together, but not when paired separately. I explored everything from flashing to removing the motherboard, checking every connector and pin. Eventually, after carefully inspecting and replacing parts, I confirmed the issue was a loose or sagging AIO pump pin. Once fixed, everything functioned properly.
Here’s a summary of what I tried:
- Cleared CMOS and reloaded BIOS
- Used XMP profiles consistently
- Swapped RAM sticks in both slots together and separately
- Ran diagnostics on temperature, speed, and stock settings
- Tested different motherboards
- Checked all connectors and physical connections
If you're facing similar problems, consider verifying your AIO pump stability and ensuring all pins are secure. Good luck with your overclocking!
