It's valid yes, but only if you put in the effort and understand the process when challenges come up. Another issue is that many makers offer boards with four RAM slots, yet customers assume they'll function properly—this isn't always true. Short version: having four sticks doesn’t add value; it just increases stress on the memory controller without real gains (if anything, it's worse).
