Photo of my sensors taken 5-30 seconds before failure. I've experienced this problem with this card since purchasing it. I filed an RMA with XFX last year, but the representative claimed it wasn't due to GPU overheating because the temperature stayed under the 105°C limit. I'm curious—did these readings appear normal to you? Or should I proceed with the return? I'm open to troubleshooting or suggestions. This issue only occurred with this GPU after switching from a 1660Ti to this model.
The display temperature looks acceptable, though the power draw is around 160W—quite high for this level of usage. It’s probable your component can exceed 105°C during peak loads and will activate cooling protection. I’m not sure how far your fan can spin before it stops, but from what I see, overheating seems likely even though the readings seem within limits.
Yes, you can execute HWinfo64 logs and forward the log file once your PC crashes.
I don't notice anything unusual that suggests a GPU problem. It might be related to the card since it's been happening after you installed it. The issue could stem from CPU or memory instability, which wasn't as severe before. You may want to run thorough tests: use Memtest86 (at least four passes for 3 hours) for memory and Aida64 stress test for CPU. For CPU, try OCCT with core cycling for one hour. Also, the AMD Adrenaline SW will alert you if a driver crash occurs, even if it's not your GPU.
I tested it for roughly 4 to 5 hours without any crashes or stability problems. I’ll run Memtest86 this evening before bed. Thanks again for the assistance with CPU stress testing. CSV
