Hello everyone, I recently upgraded to 1440p and it has been glorious so far. BF1 and GTA5 run on ultra with about 70-90fps and G-Sync really does its magic. I tried out XCOM 2 yesterday and was really dissapointed by the performance. At ultra settings, my system (6700k, GTX1070 FTW, 16gb 2400mhz etc.) was only able to achieve 30-60 fps. Forget about the closeups - those are about 20-30fps. The game only becomes playable at a steady 70fps when AA is completely turned off. I know XCOM 2 had severe performance issues on launch - but I had no problems whatsoever at 1080p. Is this still bad optimization or do you just need a monster of a rig to run this game at Ultra/1440p?
