Hello everyone, I received the special Starfield Xbox controller for my PC and am facing some problems. It experiences sudden input lag at random moments, usually when I sit further away from the computer, and sometimes it disconnects completely. I’ve plugged it in, updated through the Xbox Accessories app, and set it to stay on even if it tries to turn itself off. I’m really confused about what to do next. Also, I tried getting Bluetooth drivers from my motherboard manufacturer’s site, but they say it’s for Intel drives for my AMD board—do I need to use those or something else? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Right.
The old Xbox controller would connect well with dongles or wireless cards. From memory, but since the S version they function properly with a $25 Xbox branded dongle.
My new one works perfectly when plugged in via USB C, and I use the older one for Bluetooth on the remote that's farther away. Not sure if there are any other ongoing issues causing lag while it's connected.

I haven’t actually attempted to play while it’s plugged in—it’s a brand new Starfield series S/x controller. It connects via Bluetooth, but when I sit with my legs between the controller and PC it seems to have major input problems and disconnects. I’m planning to try plugging it in to see if that changes things. I was hoping for wireless, but it might be due to a faulty motherboard since it’s a bit old. Also, I haven’t installed the Bluetooth drivers because they claim they’re Intel drives and it’s an AMD system.
