Xbox Australia has clarified that the follow-up to Tomb Raider 2013 won’t be released on PC or PlayStation platforms. The announcement is a letdown for fans who prefer not to commit to another gaming system following the PC and PS4, and we’re cautiously hoping this rumor is incorrect.

They mentioned Titan Fall was an Exclusive, likely just not available on PS4.

They frequently mentioned it would arrive on PC, not this model. Squeenix's team is developing the Xbox 360 version, which can be seen as either positive or negative news.

It probably isn't a timed exclusive, and that isn't a miscommunication, neither was titanfall. The time taken for it not to be exclusive was related to a dip in sales when they thought they'd open it up to a wider audience. Honestly I'd wait for it to be available on a system other than xbox anyway. Microsoft has a history of going back on bonehead business decisions anyway.

Titanfall launched as a day one PC game, similar to RYSE or Dead Rising.

Dead Rising 3 had a unique release, Ryse: Son of Rome was also exclusive, and they all came to PC platforms.

Two titles from different developers, with one focusing on Capcom and the other on Crytek. Dark Dreams Don't Die is a slow-moving Kinect release I’m hoping will be replaced by Tomb Raider. I’m also curious about Sunset Overdrive.

I’m questioning whether it’s wise to skip purchasing it, especially for a PC. It seems odd that Microsoft is paying game developers to steer games away from their own platform (Windows) in such a strange way.

We obtained those titles mainly since they performed poorly. If TR:RotR continues to underperform, it might push the game toward PC or even PS4. Also, Windows 10 wasn’t intended to support Xbox One gameplay.
