Hello, seeking some advice here. I've chosen the specs you mentioned for my initial gaming PC. I'm aiming for future-proofing, planning to upgrade to a Ryzen 4000 series CPU when it arrives and possibly overclock if needed. Thanks, PCPartPicker.

Adjusted some details for clarity. The 3600 model is similar to the 3600x, offering little extra value. The 120mm aio coolers aren’t as strong as budget air coolers. Chose a more affordable motherboard with better airflow and a white case. PCPartPicker list includes these parts with prices.

Consider Prime X570-P, TUF X570-PLUS or hold off on MSI's X570 Tomahawk.

You're wondering if the Asus TUF will handle multiple cores well going forward. Are you considering upgrading to something like the Ryen 9 3950X or any Ryzen 4xxx? Also, do you have questions about whether it supports radiators and water cooling for future needs? I was thinking about the X570-E but found a lot of info on 16-phase PWM—it's a bit confusing. Thanks for your tips on coolers!

I use a 3900x on the Tuf board without any problems. It’s recommended mainly for its strong power delivery, which I’m hoping will support the next-gen Ryzen if needed. I also run an AIO cooler without any clearance issues, and the pump part of the block shouldn’t cause problems with a custom water loop. If you’re talking about the case, it’s a mid-tower model, so it should work fine. Still, good airflow is important even with water cooling—both for the RAM/VRM and for keeping the board cool overall. I’m not really familiar with the 'phase power' delivery system, so I’m not keen on diving deeper. I just followed what experts said and chose the Tuf because it’s praised for its performance within my budget, and others compared it favorably to more expensive options.

The X570-E costs a bit more than the boards I've talked about, but it offers solid performance. Considering the Tomahawk's price of $200, it seems unnecessary to exceed that amount. Additionally, the TUF X570-PLUS in @boggy77's configuration should suffice for a 3950X, particularly with PBO turned on and proper airflow around the VRM heatsinks.

I get the point, the B450 Tomahawk is a solid board, but I’d prefer to see more hands-on testing before suggesting it.
