AMD apparently rolled out a BIOS patch that included Zen 3 compatibility prior to its official release. This meant the board could have been delivered with that update if it was shipped alongside the older version. If the product didn’t include Zen 3 support, the Tomahawk model features a flashback BIOS option allowing you to upgrade without installing a CPU.
