Thanks! I'll check how a fan hitting the surface affects temperatures. That helped spark an idea. If extra airflow makes a difference, I might design and print a custom duct to guide more air in. I already have a few Noctua fans for my 3D printers.

This model was among the first x570 boards, though newer versions exist like 1.1 and 1.2. Adding a bigger fan can boost airflow while reducing noise.

I finally made the decision to purchase the restricted gum. It isn’t available nearby, so I’ll have to wait a while before it arrives. I’m determined not to let this board fail prematurely.

A superior fan will do more than just swap out the thermal pad. The temperatures you’re observing are typical, so your main concern is likely the fan’s noise level.

I returned to my place and turned on the fan aimed directly at the chipset area. Here are the readings after a short while: temperature columns listed as current, minimum, maximum, and average. The values continue to increase.

The main problem is your motherboard isn't enclosed in a case. This should boost airflow as long as your cables are neat and hidden. Putting the fan straight onto the heat spreader won't make much difference; heat rises and your memory or GPU will block the air from moving freely. Position the fan to blow sideways, directing it beneath the chipset's heat spreader and out from behind. Even if it isn't reaching high temperatures yet, I suggest checking typical chipset temperature ranges and exploring some resources.
