I like the Aurus Elite, but I'm open to other ideas.

How essential is the x570’s capabilities? It seems some sources say most budget x570 builds are unreliable, while others suggest upgrading to a mid-range board could offer better value and performance—though it might miss some of the x570’s features. Lower-tier monos typically don’t support custom fan modifications, which is something I personally don’t need.

The Aurus features more fans and over 12+2 VRM. I’m planning to upgrade to a Ryzen 9 after selling a Kydney. Does the M.2 offer quicker speeds compared to the B450?

Ryzen 9 paired with m.2 and PCIe4 speed bump. Seems like this setup isn’t built for gaming. The number of threads and high drive speeds don’t align well with typical performance gains from NVMe over SATA6, let alone PCIe3-PCIE4. It might be future-proofing for upcoming consoles like the PlayStation 5 or Scarlett, but the options are limited. Sticking to the X570 is nearly impossible due to heat issues. Only a couple of boards exist, and neither is affordable.

I recommend looking at three options under $200 for a Ryzen 9. Here are some links to consider:
- [ASUS Prime X570-P ATX](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/McfFf7/...ime-x570-p)
- [ASUS TUF Gaming X570 Plus](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/whMTwP/...-x570-plus)
- [Gigabyte Elite AORUS Elite](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/nHxbt6/...orus-elite)

The Wi-Fi versions of the TUF and Elite models are also available if needed. These boards rank highly for VRM temperatures within your budget, making them solid picks.
