x570 board compatible with SLI technology
Hello, I own two Zotac Amp Edition 1070ti units from my earlier setup. I’m planning to upgrade my system, but right now I’m only considering a CPU change and a new motherboard. I’m thinking about switching to the Ryzen 3900x, but I can’t afford a compatible X570 motherboard in India. It’s around $700 here, while in the US it’s about $500. Instead, I’m leaning toward the Ryzen 7 3700x, though I’m struggling to find an SLI-supporting X570 board. I could buy a high-end motherboard with all features, but that seems unnecessary. If I could afford the Ryzen 3900x for $700, why not go for it? I’m hoping you can help me find a budget-friendly X570 that works with SLI and the Ryzen 7 3700x.
They will mention this on the boards' website, so just check it there. You won’t find many options if you can't afford the top models.
It was recently clarified to me about Crossfire. While it’s an open standard, SLI demands payment from Nvidia, which they apparently didn’t want due to concerns over the x570. Several capable hardware options tried to enter but withdrew. Now we’re stuck with a board that supports Crossfire but not SLI—essentially going back to simpler times.
Are there any X570 motherboards that work with SLI? Also, regarding the Asus Strix X570 - E gaming WiFi, does it really support it even though it claims to? You mentioned checking and it says it does, but you're still having trouble finding options.
It seems like you're wondering if there will be few budget options available.
I recommend the Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro WiFi. You can find more details here: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/X57...-rev-10#kf. It offers two PCIe x16 slots from the CPU, supporting dual GPUs with each slot running at x8. The build quality and specifications match the value, currently priced around USD 220 at Walmart. Additional highlights include two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A ports on the back panel (one for the CPU, one for chipsets), a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port on the back, and 6th generation WiFi capabilities.
