X4 860K voltage
My CPU is already overclocked to 4.4ghz and needs around 1.488v for stability. Going to 4.5ghz would likely need a voltage between 1.500 and 1.512v. If reaching 4.5 is stable at that range, it should be fine for a 24-hour overclock, though it might be a bit more demanding.
1.5v is acceptable, but I recommend staying below that level as your CPU is already under heavy strain.
1.5V or higher for extended use reduces CPU lifespan on the producer site. The maximum recommended is 1,475V. Maintaining 4.4GHz and 1,475V is advised. At this voltage, the CPU is likely to fail within 2-3 years, and performance will drop significantly.
DeathRabit shares some important tips for maintaining your CPU health. Running at 1.5V or higher for extended periods may reduce its lifespan, with the producer site suggesting a maximum of 1,475V. Keeping it at 4.4GHz and 1,475V is ideal. If you increase the frequency to 4.4GHz, you might need to turn off the turbo core frequency, but your CPU tends to crash even when you manage to enable it. You have a 16GB DDR3 1866 Hyper X graphics card with an ATX motherboard.
if i overcloked my x4 860 k to 4.4 ghz do i need to turn off the turbo core frequency? i disabled the turbo core and my cpu still crashes, but i can still see the turbo core in the game. i have a micro atx mobo 16 gb ddr3 1866 hyper x kigstone radeon r7 370 sapphire. if you have any questions, please don't use another inactive thread and open a new one. thank you!
